They don't seem to get water logged or sweat-heavy. Feel a bit like better qualify wool, but much more comfortable. I have a couple pr which have now seen about 150 commuting days each and don;t show any wear.
I use them for commuting every day, casual rides and when the weather gets a bit colder but not cold enough for tights or leg warmers...
