LOVE my P8!

I've got an '83 P8 that I bought for an embarrassingly low price last spring (almost nothing, in fact.) A previous owner had outfitted it with Shimano 600 FD and RD, 105 brakes, Weinnmann wheelset, an 8-speed cassette, terrific handlebars and stem: in short, everything had been replaced except for the Stronglight cranks and BB, and the badly chipped maroon paint. I had it powder coated in black (I HATED the original graphics package!), dialed in the derailleurs and added a nice saddle. I've put on nearly as many miles with this 103 cheap-o wonder bike as I have with my higher end bikes that come with a much more exalted pedigree (my PX-10, for instance.) It's solid as a rock and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE my P8!
