VA route 40 good call! 1994 My wife and I were in Williamsburg for a tandem rally and we spent an extra day on our own and rode from Williamsburg to Jamestown ,crossed on the ferry then on to Waverly where we got on Route 40 and rode out 10 miles or so before turning east and looping back. I have always wanted to go back and ride 40 to Galax and then cross the mountains on US 58 and go through the Cumberland gap
