I recently put the SRAM 11-28 on my compact-equipped bike to do some epic climbing in the Sierra Nevadas last month. It's a good combination for rides with lottsa elevation. I am most likely going to go back to the 11-26 cassette when this one wears out, as I find the jumps in the larger cogs a bit distracting...but I'm also getting a new travel bike built and I'm pretty sure I'll have the 11-28 on that bike.
