The subject of a refund didn't come up. Do you think they might take the bike and not do anything?
I think you can answer your own question. HAVE THEY DONE ANYTHING SO FAR? No they haven't so why would you want to give them the bike unless they are willing to refund the money? At the very least they should sign a receipt for the bike including evey part you give them. I would also get request to see identification from the person picking it up and copy down his drivers lic. #, the trucks lic # and anything else you can think of. If I remember correctly they were local to you so why do they need it repacked? And why can't they just test it right there at your location? This is one strange outfil your dealing with. If they really wanted to help you they would refund your money and let you get something else. They could then play with the repair all they want. Then they could offer it for sale again as a used bike. That way everyone is happy.
