An '07 Trek 1500 SLR. It was pretty low end, and I'm still riding it (although it's had some upgrades). Anyway, a family member who was into cycling talked me out of a hybrid/flat bar road bike and into a full on road bike. He told me to spend the money and I wouldn't regret it. He was right, I don't regret it. A hybrid would have been a bike to sell when I got a real bike later on.
Pretty happy with my choice, even though it was about the first road bike I grabbed in the shop (oooo, pretty red I said). I'm racing on it now.
The only thing I regret was choosing the triple with ancient ultegra over the double with 2007 105. That probably would have saved me a major upgrade.
