Just wonder, have there been cases where a bike was stolen with the lock on just because it's not locked to a fixed object? The thief would have to have a car to carry it away isn't it?
Yes, in my city there is an online registry of stolen bikes. People put down how it was locked. Plenty of them say the bike was locked "to itself" . they don't need a car just two legs to carry it away.
