The roadie world seem to produce a fetish/specialization level that borders on neurosis. (the roadies seem to want a 'perfect' course, MTB'ers want a difficult course-we don't sweep the course with brooms before we ride it)
I like to be good a lot of different thing, so lamentably, I know that will have a negative effect on long distance(30+ minutes).
I'd probably do much better at cyclocross or mountain biking than TT's or road races.

But I'm OK with that.
