Bikes: 2011 Trek SOHO Deluxe, and 2010 Specialized Roubaix Expert

The hook was still on the post. I surmise what happened is I used the short hook. My 58 Roubaix is a large bike. I should have used the long hook. I had both hooks because I hauled 2 bikes up and was only hauling my Roubaix back. The other bike was smaller; so, I used the smaller hook for it. I bet I didn't get the small hook to ratchet into the post on the Swagman.

I figured that out when I transported the new bike. I noticed the small hook would not got down far enough to ratchet on the Swagman post.

I never considered not using the Swagman after the lost bike, but I will use additional means to secure the new bike.
