I've had rather good luck with Fizik bar tape as of late. Much more durable than the "cork" tapes.

+1. Not super padded, but that is solved easily enough (big money option is fizik gel inserts under the tape, cheapo option is innertube under the tape, medium option is some gloves). Besides that one small complaint, I love it. It stays put, give good grip, stays clean looking forever, doesn't rip or tear easily and of course most importantly, looks damn good.
