I have seen a lot of people posting references to Cat 2 and Cat 3. I have done quite a bit of searching online and I have not been able to find what it means, just more references. I have also discovered that there is also a Cat 1. From the reading that I have done, I have determined that it probably stands for category, and that it also has something to do with racing.

Does anyone have any links that will explain it? Is Cat 1 better than Cat 3? Or vica versa? Can you only enter races as a certain Cat or higher? How do you progress?
