The Fantom Cross has a better fork and rear derailleur than the Jake. The Jake arguably has better wheels and brakes. In particular, the wheels on the Fantom Cross have a low spoke count, but aren't particularly light. The Windsor Cyclo is probably a better value among the Bikes Direct bikes, at least from a component perspective.
