I swear soft sand will be the end of me. On thursday, when I tried the first time, my front wheel slid out and I fell on my face then. Just a few scratches, nothing major. Then again yesterday, someone pointed out (on one of the most exciting rides I've ever had) a trail we could have taken. I looked, rolled into some gravely sand while not looking, and fell again. But I must say, dodging huge rocks while going downhill at 20+ mph is pretty exhilarating. Being the noob that I am to cross, I took probably the worst line through the rocky patch, which included some 1-1.5ft dropoffs, but it was as much fun as I've ever had off road. The guys I was with were crazy descenders, so I had to keep up so I didn't get lost. I got one pinch flat on said drop offs. Another guy I was with got 3 flats-we made him ride home at 80psi.

I think I'm hooked. Uh oh.
