Now i know that this bus company employs CCTV inside and outside the vehicle but I don't trust the way that this will be handled by the company as I imagine they'll send me a letter of apologies and tell me that the driver in question will go through a training course to recognise hazards which will more than likely be a "mind the cyclists next time.. cya later josh..".

Having looked into what the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) constitutes as Dangerous Driving http://www.cps.gov.uk/news/fact_shee...erous_driving/ it seems that overtaking carelessly is where this sits. It also breaches Highway Code rule 163 and rules 211-213 which would mean that theoretically I could take this matter to the police and expect an investigation, though would only be tried at a magistrates court and sentence would only be as harsh as a driving ban (due to no death or injury being caused).

This would be hard to prove against a driver of the general public, but as it's a private company and they use CCTV for recording such incidents it should be a synch. Has anyone bothered to go this far or do you all have better things to do?
What is your desired goal? Do you want the driver terminated? Are you looking for the driver to receive a reprimand or additional safety training? Deciding what you want to achieve is a good first step in deciding how to proceed.
