There used to be a workout tape called "Abs of Steel". Get it if you can find it. It's all about core strength which will help your muscles pull your back into alignment. I had chronic problems with a bulging disc which caused horrible sciatica-all the way down to my ankle. Walking is good for it, as is swimming. But the ab crunches are what will cure it.
