For some people making a protein shake with whole milk, peanut butter, and a banana would get the calorie content up a bit on the high side. Since I'm looking at it more or less as one of my meals for the day, it's fine.

In other news, this post got me thinking about homemade gatorade type drinks. I know water is best but many of just really prefer having some sort of taste to whatever we drink and I find I will drink more often and do a better job staying hydrated if what i drink has some litle bit of taste to it. I have a bottle of sour mix on my bar; 110 calories in a 4oz serving. bottle was 4 bucks and its a 32 oz bottle. I just mixed 4 oz with 20 oz of water for 24 oz of lightly flavored drink. tastes good, and I'm sure there is nothing worse in sour mix than is in gatorade! lots of polysodium this and that. since i saw the word sodium in the ingredient list, I'm not going to bother adding a pinch of salt to it.
My post was supposed to mean that maybe the reason you are at 17-19% body fat is because you don't watch your calories. I don't care how much you ride, in order to lose weight, you need to watch what you eat.

And aren't you a personal trainer? At 19% BF it sounds like you need your own personal trainer.
