Now in my early 30's I gladly admit that I play more golf than anything else and 3 years into the game I sport a hcap of 7.7. In my prime I was between 14 and 16 % bodyfat. Obviously way too high for an elite.cyclist, but perfectly fine for a power forward, right fielded and tight end.
BTW, I never made mention of trying to lose weight. If I were watching calories or.getting ready for the upcoming season I probably would make my shakes with water or 1 part milk and 2 parts water
Fair points from your personal point of view, but let's keep in perspective that we are at "bikeforums.net", in the Road Cycling forum where somebody is looking for cycling specific advice. I'm not egging you on, but we are talking cyclists here, not tight-ends/power forwards. By cycling definition, you are a clydesdale...not being derogatory...just trying to keep things in perspective for the OP, who was simply looking for a legitimate recovery drink. I think the general consenus here is that chocolate milk (My original suggestion in post #2) is the way to go.
