anytime ANYTHING goes through the mail... baggage handlers... friends houses... someone else's car...
anytime anyone but a cyclist handles or has possession of a bike i ride, i give it the instant once over inspection.
not saying its your fault... it should have been assembled properly and no one should have messed with it in transit... but to ride it without properly torquing everything down and making sure assembly was up to snuff... i'm just saying, you could have prevented it.
nice that they're taking care of you though... especially if it's not just some cheap crap like the usual mail order sites' products.
that spindle design really begs for a discerning install... it's not like a square taper where you just muscle the **** out of it... you have to be sure you're getting everything in order, THEN putting the work on.
