I live not on the coast but in Va where there are roots. But around where i live there are also lots of shale and limestone. I guess i could see riding lower with roots and what not. Dont get me wrong i used to ride 30-35 psi all the time but because of pinch flats every ride just upraded the tires and run a higher pressure. I mean pressure is a personal preference i guess so ride what you want. O also what tubes are you using? I was riding with bell and switched to giant because of pinch flats the flats decreased but still happened every once in a while. Ive been riding with higher pressure for a while and have noticed i dont have hardly any flats anymore. Its nice. As long as your riding i guess any psi is fine.
