I built up a Litespeed ti cross frame with canti brakes, Mavic Open Pro wheels with some Vittoria commuter tyres last year and rode it through last winter. For the most part, it worked well except the braking power of the cantis weren't very reliable. I am changing it to disc brakes right now. Hopefully it will work better.
