I wanted to add that although we discussed things, and we even found leadout landmarks, the reality is that you rarely have the option of following the plan. So a lot of stuff was kind of off the cuff. The basic stages of the race went:
1. First 20-25 laps of race. Follow all moves. Don't work in them. If Expo misses a move, chase. If Aki says to chase, chase. Don't worry about bringing Aki to front - he'll figure it out. Critical - call out gaps if break up the road. We screwed that one up big time at the 2nd last race.
2. At end, string things like like crazy for last lap or two. Strung out fields are good for me, unless they're going a bit too fast. 38-40 mph is too fast for me to move up easily, but I didn't think we had anyone on the team that would do that. 35 is comfortable. 30-32 is way too slow. Cliff's leadout was 35, slowing about 2-3 mph towards the end.
3. If anyone with legs are left, lead out. Launch point varies based on wind, but can be from before driveway to the the middle of the right/left curve up the hill.
3a. If we had no one left, I took responsibility. I mean I did anyway, but it'd be up to me if the team kept the race together.
