We are having quite a drought, but it is making for some beautiful weather for cycling. It hasn't rained appreciably in weeks. The heat and humidity are finally letting up, although afternoon temps are still way above normal. We should break the all-time record for 90+ days in a summer this week. My floor pump broke last week and the replacement I bought will not reliably fill my tires. So I ordered a rebuild kit for my old pump and plan to return the new one. I always pump up my tires before riding but couldn't get the new pump to work at all this morning; the head just won't engage right on the valve. So I'm riding a bike with tires that I pumped up last Sunday, and hopefully won't have any problems.
