When I run a marathon, it's all continuous unique terrain, I specifically avoid the double lasso ones. Training for those the most loops I usually do, triple 9 milers, ugggh super mindnumbing.
But century rides aren't very competitive, or timed, and it's kind of meh.
Do you consider the Kentucky Derby to be "redneckish" too? (I can see why people would allude criteriums to NASCAR)
