I use a Topeak road Morph G (G= gauge). It mounts behind a bottle cage and has its own fold-out footpad. If you want to invest in a gage that'd be cheaper. Or you could do the calibrated finger pinch test

On your trek to Sheboygan, consider a minor detour north to Eden, WI. One of my fav breakfast stops, The Eden Cafe, is there...homemade potato pancakes-->Yum! Their Whole Trout & Eggs is also great. And all of their pies are homemade. I'm always stuffed when I leave.
