I often wonder if guys like McEwan would prefer to blend into the peleton by wearing a normal team jersey instead of a shirt that stands out so much. I'm sure there would be times he'd like to hide in the bunch, but how can he in this gear?

When Stevo was aussie road champ in the mid-90s, festina wouldn't let him get a national strip. Didn't mean anything in Spain and the sponsor was more important.
I reckon these guys know each other so well, McEwen could wear the Discovery Channel strip and Petacchi, Kirsipuu, O'Grady, Zabel, Cooke, etc etc would all know EXACTLY where he was.
