I have "high end" bikes in steel, Ti, and CF. All three have about the same geometries. All three are close in ride quality but I give the edge to CF. It feels faster, seems to handle better, has snapier acceleration, and is as comfortabel as the stell or Ti. I know these all are subjective, but I like the CF the most.
