HR is slow to respond. You're not in your correct zones many of the times you're doing training. I.e. your HR will drift up when doing SST even though your wattage might be constant. Are you still in the right zone if you're going by HR?

PS: The answer is no.

It's better at triggering adaptations in zones because you actually stay in the zone properly. They're harder or easier than usual because of fueling, sleep, PE (which is off a lot of the time), etc etc.
