So funny--I saw this on CL and thought "hmm...that lacing looks strangely familiar."

But so--this may be a dumb question, but it looks too flat across the top and...well, kind of lumpy in the middle, like the metal frame is pressing through the leather--that can't be right, can it? Does it just need adjusting or tensioning? I think of a comfortable, broken-in saddle as at least slightly concave and this doesn't look as if it can go that way without adjusting.
