I have a custom Scandium road frame that uses oversized mtn. bike tubing for the three main tubes (top, seat and down) with carbon fiber, wishbone style seatstays and Scandium chainstays. The stuff is pretty cool. It's light, responsive, stiff etc. It has it all as far as I'm concerned. I'm not a small rider (6'3", 205 lbs) and it does what I need it to do for racing, riding longer distances, you name it and it seems to work just fine for me.
