Not sure how much or what type off road motorcycling you do, but...I've got a sneaky suspicion that when your comfort level for you two increases on that Cannondale, your choice of trails will change also.
BTW, start saving for a Thudbuster LT for your stoker. Very common and work extremely well.

I'm a three decade long off road motorcycling veteran, but we have only just started getting back into bicycling this year, and we are both really enjoying it. And like off road motorcycling, I'm sure there are many mods and upgrades which folks eventually move up to, beyond the basic, as they discover the joys of riding more challenging routes and terrain.
