Forgot to add that my roadie is not fitted with my NiteRider Digital blinking front and back lights that put out 1 million candlepower, I swear!! I had only one of these blinking rear lights, though I had on one of those fluorescent jackets and a colorful helmet, etc.
A year ago, I would have considered myself more than safely prepared. Not any more.
You see, I noticed a distinct difference in the behavior of cars along my busy commute route. Cars tended to "right-hook" me (or get close to r-h'ing me), cars tended to pull out onto the road far closer than normal, force squeeze situations, etc.
Overall a very different and significantly less safe ride.
Commuters ... do yourselves a favor and find a brightly blinking front light. IT REALLY MATTERS.
