Yes, I hear a lot of this. Chris seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way. I have no direct experience with him, but indirectly, I can certainly see that his particular style of brash and contentious would alienate folks. That said, competition is good.
Chris is an ex-Marine drill sergeant. He's going to be what he's going to be. At the end of the day, he bends over backwards to put on races and to do things for racers. Brash, contentious, a blow-hard...yep, he's all those things. He's also the guy that'd give you the shirt off his back. Take the good with the bad. We'd all have a hell of a lot fewer races to run if he weren't around.

It's easy to complain about the races they put on, but honestly, I think they do a pretty good job (overall) for the limited everything that they have to do it with.
