Did you consider the fact that a B17 is for a person riding in a more upright position like when your touring or your handle bars are the same height as your seat; and a Swift is more for a riding in a position where the handlebar is lower than your saddle like on a racing style bike? That's why most touring people, including myself, have B17's on their touring bikes, and people with racing style bikes looking for more comfort use the Swift or the Swallow.
