If you don't feel the need to carry a phone for yourself, at least carry it so that you can call an ambulance for a buddy who has crashed or a cop for the drunk who is trying to run you off the road. I think it's fun to talk about. Turns out that people have strong opinions about it that connect to more than its use as a commuter's aid. That's quite interesting, actually. The vehemence of some folks (perhaps including me) is likewise interesting. I like my little thread...
