1982 Ross Mt Hood. You should keep it as is, because from what I can see of it, it is 100% original, down to the grips, saddle, and pedals. Give it a good cleaning, rebuild the bearings, and ride the hell out of it. Nice find!! I had one identical to it for a while, equally as original. Ishiwata 024, lugs, and gold anodized rims. You can't ask for a whole lot more in an early model MTB.,,,,BD

The model name should be on the right chainstay, if it's not faded or peeled. The Hi-Tech top tube decal, and Mt Hood decal faded a LOT faster than the rest...

I have a solid chrome Mt Hood from 1984. I will trade you even, if you just want something to customize? I miss the old black beauty
