Here your wife can have a car and you can ride in it and still be car free. People can even drive a car or truck for a living and call themselves car free. At least that is how it seems from what I have read here.
I don't own a car, and I hate what they are doing to our societies and the environment, but I do occasionally ride in one if friends or relatives are going somewhere and they ask me to come along with them, so I suppose I'm not car free in the strictest sense of the term. To do otherwise would be to isolate myself and risk becoming antisocial. Is there anyone here who never ever accepts a lift?
