By the way, where did you find this bike for sale? I live in Fitchburg and am scrounging for a comuter project bike.
Hey OUCH
There is a News Group wi.madison.forsale where I post stuff for sale and monitor for the ocassional odd thing. This came up along with a bunch of other more mundane stuff for sale. Seller actually lives like 100 yards from my house!
I will post some quick-pictures later this evening. First glance looks good. The original sew-up tires came with the package (anyone collect tubular rims? They are Cerchi Flamme made in Italia). The Changer says Campagnolo Record, and it and the cluster are clean as a whistle. Brakes are Centre pull Universals. I didn't take a close look at the cranks. Pedals and the toe clips say Record as well (one clip is broken, nuts) The original Brooks saddle -- or whatever leather saddle -- is long gone (nuts). ONe of the Pump brackets is missing. The bike did not have much for braze-ons for water bottles, etc, so there is minor damage from those screw on brackets to hold stuff. The bike was in a basement being remodelled, so it is dusty. The tires filled up okay. My girlfriend will roll her eyes. I'll have some fun!
Pictures later

PS. for cheap commuter/town bikes, check out Revolution Cycles across from Monty's BLue Plate by BArrymore. He will build a custom from old stock for cheap!
