Possible bad magicshine head?

i wonder if anyone else has run into this issue. I just got the magicshine 900 today from geoman. I charged the battery for 4 hours until the light turned green on the charger.

I mounted the light on the bike and tried it out. I tried running it through the modes. It was on for 30 seconds at a time and on my 2nd or 3rd test it just stopped lighting.

i have a multimeter and i tested the charger. It's putting out 8 volts. the battery is putting out about 4.8 volts. Anyone have a working unit and feel like measuring the output? on the charger/battery ?

what;s odd is when i first plug it in, the light blinks but that's it. Any thoughts? I ride early in the morning and was very much looking forward to the magicshine. Anyone know how reliable they are long term? I'm a bit concerened.

I did contact geoman, but it was about 4:45 Colorado time; a bit close to closing time. I'm sure they'll contact me tomorrow.
