This kind of peanut butter (the oily kind) is the best for you. "Natural" peanut butter can actually clear your arteries. A peanut butter sandwich is also a good source of protein, B-vitamins, and vitamin E.
In contrast, (for a cyclist,) meat takes much longer to digest while peanut butter can be made available for energy much more quickly and be digested faster instead of "hanging around" in your stomach.
