If you have lardy heels, then you probably should not be riding a racing bicycle or using cycling shoes. Your pubis would have been hidden by the tire gut a long time ago before you can have lardy heels.
The exception are pregnant women in the 3rd trimester.
Which is saying that heel cup devices make sense for ones self-image.
