I wounder if there should be some advocacy to allow cyclists to use a whistle, as much as the Airzound is recommended I really don't like taking my hands off the brakes so devices that can be used hands free and get drivers attention should be allowed IMHO.
On my flat-bar bike I can still use the brake while depressing the horn trigger with my thumb. I can't speak for drop-bar users, but if that described my setup, then I would mount the horn on the right side so that my left hand could still be free to use the front brake.
