My LBS dumped Scott like a bad girlfriend after the third frame that failed that Scott found one excuse or another not to warranty.

One of the Scott owners is in my sons club. Frame snapped at the headtube on a clean downhill and the bike crashed. Scotts "not warranty" reason? "Bike was involved in a crash". LBS made it good. He operated on a three strikes rule though so out the door went Scott. Other two were similar.
