one bag for all rides is all you need. on a century there are plenty of other riders with carrying too much stuff that will be more then happy to help. plus, there is typically support of some kind. enjoy. later.
I don't rely on others, I rely on odds. My normal daily rides are 50-70 miles and I have had one flat this year and it was in the garage. The bike doesn't know it is doing a century. I only carry one tube, a patch kit, a tire lever, small pump, hand wipes. Cell phone and debit card in the jersey pocket.
