Notonly are carbon seatposts the proper way to pose, but I can honestly say, I have both, and my USE Alien seatpost provides better dampening of vibration, compared to the alloy post on my old bike. The better ones are also much lighter than alloy, so weight weenies are happier.
Hi Patriot, what do you think of the USE Alien clamp? Loads of reviews on roadbikereview.com say it's a complete nightmare, with tiny bolts that strip easily, hard to adjust etc. But if I
were to go for a ti post, that's about the only one available in this country.
