Hi.
I am from the midwest and have been looking for as close to an all around bike as I could find, i.e, pavement, dirt trails, country rock, gravel roads, or just shooting off down a long mowed hill, etc... I had pretty much settled on a Cannondale Quick CX Ultra, then the CX 1's came out...(2011 model year). I've got a deal where I can pick either bike for roughly the same price $1100. I was ready to get the 2011 when I heard a guy that sounded like he knew what he was saying mention that the 2010 (aka Ultra) has better parts. I googled them and looked at the specs of both. I thought they were the same bike but there are a lot of changes. As someone new to this level of biking, I have no idea what componets are better or worse just by reading a name... I would so appreciate any feedback I could get from someone who knows one component from another. The one store has only the one bike left and I have to make a decision ASAP. I really appreciate your time in reading all this and possibly shedding some light on my questions. Thanks
