Really? I'm pretty sure a single half link will give you the same adjustment as 3 or 250 half links.

Half link chains are made for BMX riders who grind on stuff and catch their outer link plates on whatever they're ginding on. With a half link chain, all the plates face rearward and don't get hung up and torn apart. Otherwise they's just for looks I think.
