Not Really. I could wear my Pearl Izumi X-alps all day. Sometimes I forget to take them off if I've been on the bike. With the egg beater cleats, the only time they click is if I step on pebble or something. They clicked with SPD cleats on sidewalks, but even with the SPD cleats, clicking was never a problem on an indoor surface.
