Hi everyone. I have a shot at getting a 2005 Giant Rainier for about $300.

If it's in acceptable condition, does that sound like a good deal.

Is it generally accepted that a 5 year old bike with higher end components is a better deal than a new lower spec'd entry level bike. (provided the older bike is in good working order).
