What am I missiing here? You up grade to a Cat 1 you still are going to race against the same local people in the P12. How is having the Cat 1 going to help you compete in these races if you can't compete in them now.
Get more free stuff, bit more local prestige, get a chance to do some big stage races not available to 2's, etc etc.
