Serious crap can happen, so having some way to contact a responder is a good thing. Doesn't have to be a RoadID, but they seem pretty convenient and high quality.

That is, I had 2 memory-affecting concussions this spring. Both were low speed falls, hitting my right temple. Second time, I was by myself and a motorist was kind enough to pick up me and bike. Like waterrockets, I was conscious, but non-functional. The guy found my phone, called my wife and drove me home.
I just bought a black, Elite road ID. It's pretty loose around my wrist to make it big enough to fit over my hand, and the clasp seems like it will be irritating where rests at the bend of my wrist. If I don't like wearing it, I may go to the padded dog tag.
